A supernatural water horse from Celtic Folklore. Said to dwell in rivers and lochs in Scotland and Ireland, Kelpie is described as a black horse (in some stories white) that appears as a lost pony but is recognizable by its wet, dripping mane. It is said that Kelpie’s skin is like a seal’s, smooth but cold to the touch. Kelpie are reportedly able to transform into a beautiful woman and lure men into their den.
